Der Workflow bleibt der gleiche – nur die manuelle Arbeit fällt weg. Das Stundenglas wird durch einen Urinbeutel mit Niviu Gerät ersetzt – es übernimmt die kontinuierliche und präzise Messung der Stundendiurese. The workflow stays the same – only the manual work goes away. The glass urinometer is replaced by a urine bag that connects the way you're used to. The Niviu device simply attaches to it and takes over the continuous, precise measurement of hourly urine output.

Die Werte werden am Gerät angezeigt und zugleich über das gesicherte Klinik-WLAN automatisch zur Dokumentation übertragen. Values are shown directly on the device and at the same time transmitted automatically via your secure hospital WiFi for documentation.

Der Niviu IoT-Hub ist als zentrale Software das Herzstück hinter dem Niviu Gerät am Bett. Sie macht Niviu zu mehr als einem einzelnen Messgerät: zu einer Lösung, die sich in den Klinik-Alltag und die bestehende IT einfügt – ohne aufwendige Speziallösungen. The Niviu software is the heart behind the Niviu device at the bedside. It turns Niviu from a single measuring device into a solution that fits into hospital workflows and existing IT – without complex custom integrations.

Für die Pflegefachperson heißt das: Patient und Gerät werden in wenigen Sekunden gekoppelt – Patientenauswahl direkt aus dem Klinik-System, Messintervalle und individuelle Grenzwerte einstellbar. Werte fließen anschließend automatisch ins PDMS. For nursing teams this means: patient and device are paired in seconds — patient selection directly from your hospital system, configurable measurement intervals and individual thresholds. Values then flow automatically to the PDMS.

Die Werte aus der Niviu Software landen direkt im PDMS, in der Regel an der Stelle, an der heute die manuell erfassten Werte stehen. Wie die Daten im PDMS dargestellt werden, entscheidet die Klinik – Niviu fügt sich in den bestehenden Dokumentationsstandard ein. Kein manueller Übertrag, keine Lücken, keine Tippfehler. Values from the Niviu software flow directly into your PDMS, typically into the same field where manually recorded values appear today. How the data is displayed within your PDMS is up to your hospital – Niviu fits into your existing documentation standard. No manual transfer, no gaps, no typos.

Pflegefachpersonen und Ärzt:innen können das Messintervall und individuelle Benachrichtigungen einrichten, wenn von ihnen festgelegte Grenzwerte über- oder unterschritten werden. Bei einigen PDMS-Anbietern lassen sich diese Benachrichtigungen auch direkt ins PDMS übergeben. Nursing teams and clinicians can set up individual notifications in the Niviu software when their defined thresholds are exceeded or undershot. For some PDMS providers, these notifications can also be passed through to the PDMS itself.

Complications in intensive care often develop gradually – through changing fluid balances, postoperative bleeding, or other processes. When they only become visible through manual, hourly records, the window for optimal intervention is often already narrower.

Heute ist es Urin. Als nächstes bauen wir die Anwendung für die postoperative Drainage-Überwachung aus. Danach folgen weitere Bereiche wie neurologische Ventrikeldrainagen und die neonatologische Intensivmedizin. Today it is urine. Next, we are expanding the application into postoperative drainage monitoring. Further down the road, additional areas like neurological ventricular drainages and neonatal intensive care follow.

Die Anschaffung von neuer Hardware oder Software ist dabei nicht nötig. Es wird das gleiche Niviu Gerät und die vorhandene Software verwendet, lediglich der Sammelbehälter wird für die jeweilige klinische Verwendung entsprechend angepasst. Somit ist die Investition in Niviu zukunftssicher. No new hardware or software is required. The same Niviu device and existing software are used – only the collection container is adapted for the respective clinical application. This makes the investment in Niviu future-proof.
